Located in Santa Ana Canyon, almost all of Featherly Regional Park is a natural riparian wilderness area; public access is restricted and viewing opportunities are best from the Santa Ana River Bikeway which runs adjacent to the park.
The only developed portion of the park is Canyon R.V. Park, a privately-operated facility. It offers RV sites with full hook-ups, small cabins, youth group camping and areas for group events. Canyon RV Park’s entrance is at Gypsum Canyon Road and the 91 Freeway. Call (714) 637-0210 for information or reservations.
Activities
Activities are limited to viewing the park’s natural riparian wilderness area from the Santa Ana River Bikeway and RV and youth group camping in the privately-operated Canyon R.V. Park.
UPDATED 2/3/21: In an effort to minimize the impacts of coronavirus (COVID-19) on park patrons, staff, and the Orange County community at large, and consistent with the guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Governor’s office, the Orange County Board of Supervisors and the Orange County Health Care Agency (HCA), OC Parks are operating in the following manner.
The clocks fall back early Sunday, Nov. 1, marking the end of daylight-saving time and OC Parks’ spring-summer operating schedule. Most regional parks close at 6 p.m. for the fall and winter, and wilderness parks close at sunset. Make sure to check our COVID-19 information page for modified operations at some parks.
