| Events & Programs... | | Sat22May | Taking a Liking to Hiking Beginner's Hike8 a.m., 9 a.m., and 10 a.m. to 9 a.m., 10 a.m., and 11 a.m.Interested in hiking, but just starting out? Strap on your boots for the Taking a Liking to Hiking beginner-level hike. A Park Ranger will lead the way for an hour-long, medium paced jaunt along the park’s lower trails. No steep hills. There will be three separate sessions, with the first hike starting at 8 a.m. and repeating the same route at 9 a.m. and at 10 a.m. Hikers are welcome to attend more than one session. There is no minimum age as long as a child can keep up the pace for a full hour without holding up the rest of the group.
Bring water and sturdy footwear, a hat and sunscreen. Note that this hike is for exercise in a natural setting and that interpretation of plants and animals will be very limited.
