(Laguna Niguel, Calif.) – The tennis and pickleball courts at Laguna Niguel Regional Park have reopened following a recent enhancement project. All courts have been resurfaced, and an existing tennis court has been converted into four new pickleball courts, bringing the park total to two tennis courts and 12 pickleball courts available for the public to enjoy free of charge.
Vice Chair Katrina Foley of the Orange County Board of Supervisors along with OC Parks staff cut the ribbon on the newly enhanced tennis and pickleball courts Wednesday, May 13, 2026.
“After OC Parks conducted a countywide study evaluating community interest in pickleball, Laguna Niguel Regional Park emerged as a natural fit - as the first OC Parks facility to initially feature pickleball courts,” said Vice Chair Katrina Foley, Fifth District. “These news and improved courts reflect our commitment to recreational spaces that bring people together, encourage an active lifestyle for residents, and increase use of our regional parks and green spaces.”
To better understand the Orange County community, OC Parks conducted a study evaluating interest in pickleball, which helped identify the regional park facilities best suited for this amenity.
Pickleball and tennis courts are available on a first come, first served basis. Laguna Niguel Regional Park is open daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the spring and summer, and 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the fall and winter. Parking is $3 per vehicle on weekdays and $5 per vehicle on weekends.
