Join OC Parks staff and volunteers for our monthly program where art meets ecology! Come explore the natural world through the lens of creativity as we transform everyday discarded materials into unique works of art.

This program will feature a brief nature walk (approximately 0.75 miles) focused on pollution in the bay. We’ll make our way down to the marsh, talk about what pollutants enter our waterway, and how both plants and people help clean the ecosystem.

Afterwards, we will create our own trash art – making something beautiful out out of otherwise unusable items. Whether you’re crafting animals, landscapes, or abstract creations, you’ll leave with a one-of-a-kind masterpiece and a new appreciation for keeping our parks and waterways clean.

All program materials will be provided. Please wear closed-toe shoes and clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. This program is designed for ages 14 and older. The nature walk will be on uneven, dirt trails.

The program and parking are free.
