Intermediate Mountain Bike Ride with a Resource Specialist

Enjoy a mountain bike ride in the backcountry with other outdoor enthusiasts as we explore and learn about the canyons and spot wildlife.

Although this ride is for off-road bikers that are comfortable with single track trails, the pace will be dictated by the slowest riders. Pauses will be made whenever the group is interested in observation and wildlife interpretation.

The 7-mile route travels Aliso Creek Trail (mostly paved), to Wood Canyon Trail, to Coyote Run Trail (single track) within Aliso and Wood Canyons Wilderness Park. The single track is generally not technical but does include some short, steep descents and some sections that may be slightly loose with small rocks. The connections between the single track will be on ranch roads and pavement.

Electric mountain bikes of any class or type are not permitted.

Participants should arrive with a properly functioning mountain bike, helmet and replacement equipment for flat tires. Bring all necessary equipment to keep you safe on the trail, including water, proper attire, closed-toe footwear, sunscreen, medication and health needs, etc.

Participants must be 16 or older. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian.
