Please be advised that the Villa Park Dam will be releasing water starting Monday, March 9 at 8 a.m.
Water levels of Santiago Creek will rise downstream, causing creek crossings inside Santiago Oaks Regional Park impassible. The main creek crossing (stepping stone near the entrance), Historic Dam Trail and Pony Trail will all be inundated.
These trails at Santiago Oaks will remain closed during the release period, which is expected to last for approximately three days, 24 hours a day. All other trails not affected by the release will remain open, however, there will be no access to trails from the main parking area of Santiago Oaks.
