Create in the Park

Join OC Parks at Irvine Ranch Historic Park as a professional artist guides you through an engaging program focusing on urban sketching techniques using pen and watercolor. Artists of all levels are welcome to come and take in the beautiful historic grounds which include original ranch structures that reflect the rich agricultural history of Orange County, the Katie Wheeler Branch Library and tranquil citrus groves.  Bring your own sketch pad and art materials including oil, acrylic, pastel, or other drawing media and enjoy creating art outside. A guided tour about the history of Irvine Ranch Historic Park will also be included.

Program and parking are free. Materials are not provided, only art instruction. A list of recommended materials will be made available to all registered participants in advance of the program. Sun protection, water and snacks are recommended.

Advance registration required. Learn more and register here
