OC Parks is hosting a community meeting to share project updates and route alternatives for three segments along the OC Loop. Please join us to learn more about this project.
Let’s work together to complete the vision for this 66-mile seamless link for people to bike, walk and access some of the county’s most scenic beaches, local parks, schools, shopping areas and active transportation corridors.
The OC Loop is a vision for a 66-mile, mostly off-road path, for biking and walking that improves quality of life, supports freedom from car-dependency, and promotes healthy living. This proposed project represents an important piece of the regional bikeway network in West, North and Northeast Orange County allowing users to bike, walk, and simply connect to some of California’s most scenic beaches, to Orange County’s inland reaches.
Through grant funding from Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) in early 2014, OC Parks commissioned a Feasibility Study for completing gap segments along the OC Loop. A draft study was coordinated with various agencies for review/comment in early February 2015 with a Final Gap Feasibility Study document and Appendix completed in late March 2015. This technical reference document would be used by agencies wishing to apply for Local, State and/or Federal funding opportunities toward closing gaps along the OC Loop.
Making Orange County a safe, healthy, and fulfilling place to live, work, and play, today and for generations to come, by providing outstanding, cost-effective regional public services.
