Park Amenities:

Bicycling/Bike Trails
A variety of trails exist within the park. Please use only marked and signed park trails.

Borrego Trail is a one-way in trail for bike riders. If you need to return on Borrego Trail to the parking lot, riders are required to walk the bike out.

Some trails have an elevation gain/loss of over 800'. Please dress appropriately.

Helmets required for visitors under 18 years of age and strongly recommended for every bike visitor.

Speed limit of park trails is a maximum of 10 miles per hour.

Park trails are closed during and after rain events. Call the park office for current trail conditions at (949) 923-2245.





Equestrian Trails
Most of the park trails are "Multi-use" meaning hikers, equestrian and bicycles could be found using them.

Equestrians are welcome to ride any trail except Red Rock Canyon and Billy Goat Trail (hikers only).

Use the Glenn Ranch Parking lot off Glenn Ranch Road (between Portola and El Toro Road) for trailer parking.

Restrooms
The park has only portable restrooms located in the Borrego and Glenn Ranch parking lots.

Please plan accordingly.
Visitor Center
Small nature center with interpretive displays. Includes photos and items from the 2007 Santiago Fire, which burned 90% of the park.

Grand opening on Saturday, February 7, 2010 from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

Nature Center not always staffed. Call ahead for hours 949-923-2245.

The park office and Interpretive Center are located in the McFadden Ranch House adjacent the Aliso Creek Bike Trail (old El Toro road), below the Portola Hills community.

Please note only accessable via the Aliso Creek Bike Trail. No vehicle access.
