FACT SHEET:

The ability to issue citations is another tool to help the rangers do their job more effectively with greater confidence;

The main goal is to protect park visitors and natural resources and maintain order at various parks;

The primary focus of our park management is to seek voluntary compliance;

Rangers will continue to be hosts and guides, while also being better prepared for the unexpected;

Rangers will continue to work collaboratively with local law enforcement agencies and constituents to implement this program in a coordinated effort;


Citation Program Will Permit Rangers To:

• Issue civil citations to park patrons who violate ordinances.

• Attend the Orange County Sheriff’s Academy for Specialized training and CAL POST Standards.
