In March of 1977, an agreement between the Orange county Harbors, Beaches and Parks District and the Jack G. Raub Company was signed. The agreement delegated the Jack G. Raub Company for the responsibility for preparation of a General Development Plan and contract document for Capistrano Beach Park. Capistrano Beach Park was opened to the public in 1980.
For convenience to the public a concessionaire is at Capistrano Beach during the summer months offering cold drinks, ice cream, candy and other food items. There are also surf boards, roller blades and bicycles available for rent.
